ALR back Patches

Texas ALRsHello from Post 533 Bastrop Texas. I have a question I need cleared up. I see many Riders from different posts thru-out texas wearing a top rocker and bottom rocker some with post at top and district on bottom with ALR patch in middle. How are we able to get away with a 3 PC patch when what seems to me to go against the rules of the Big MC's in Texas? Has anyone ever got hassled or confronted on this issue? Or does the individual ALR post have to get permission first on this.

Thanks.

Texas Pony Express goes National

Texas ALRsTexas ALR Post 135 has resurrected the Pony Express messenger service of the old West to help support the American Legion' Legacy Scholarship Fund. The modern day Pony Express riders will be on 'iron horses' and their stations will be strategically placed American Legion Posts around the state of Texas. The riders will carry donations to the Legacy Scholarship Fund from post to post, ultimately delivering the donations along the route of the Legacy Scholarship Run or directly to the national convention in SLC.

Post 135 is making its Pony Express state plan available for download use by other states to give this concept a national scope.

You can find all the information regarding the new Pony Express Riders and it's first mission on the web site http://www.alr135.org

Click on 'Pony Express' to download the Texas plan with flyers and other material. Please remember that for a person to ride as a Pony Express Messenger they have to have a sponsoring American Legion Post that agrees be a Pony Express Station for collecting local donations to the Legacy Scholarship Fund.
