The Legion Riders of Greenville Post 291,Greenville NY hosted a ride in support of the "Wounded Warrior Project. We raised $600 for this worthy cause with donations coming from the Post, Auxiliary and Sons Squadron. Additionally we received a $100 donation from the Ulster County Corrections Officer Association. Our ride to Sacandaga Lake on 23 Aug 08 had 13 riders participating and was led by our Road Captain Sonny "The Fonz"Homeyer.who guided us on a circuitous route through the backroads of Greene, Schoharie and Fulton counties. We stopped for lunch at the Broadalbin Post (Robert Lee Walsh Post 337) and were gratiously treated as "royalty" by the Post 337 Legion Members who in addition to providing much needed liquid refreshments grilled up some burgers and hot dogs for us. Upon returning to Greenville the riders joined in a "Wing Fling" chicken wing dinner with all the trimmings put on by the Sons Squadron. This was our first "major" charity ride and we look forward to making this an annual event. We will announce our plans for next year and invite all Legion Riders in the surrounding areas to share our comraderie and.help support this cause. Fund raising event designed to raise money to help local people with severe health issues. Hosted by ALR Post 1619 August 7-9, 2009 the event includes a bike show, bike rodeo, poker run, 6 live bands , onsite camping, food, and vendors

Wish Ride 2008 has been set for Aug. 9, 2008. This year we will be giving away a 2008 Harley Davidson Street Bob. Tickets are 20.00 each with only 2000 being sold. All proceeds go to Make-A-Wish of CNY. Great Ride with party to follow. Need further info e-mail powder6484@tds.net
