Omaha ALR Events (P) Nebraska ALR ROMP Omaha Post 1 is hosting the Nebraska State Romp for 2008 September 13 th – 14th The location is the Gretna post. (Thank You Gretna) Now we need people to volunteer to help make this better than the one last year and that is a tall order. If you are interested in being involved in this committee please contact Doc Holiday, docps2@cox.net
Omaha ALR Events(P) 28th NATIONAL VETERANS WHEELCHAIR GAMES which will be held in Omaha July 25 -29th. We need a lot more people to sign up to support this event.
Omaha ALR Events(P) The Moving Vietnam Memorial Wall. Tentatively June 18th -23rd – escort and round the clock guard duty dates may move one or two days as the schedule gets finalized. Please keep in mind that although we have asked the PGR to make this a mission we need to support this event 110%. This event takes a large number of volunteers doing their part to make it a success. Omaha ALR Events(P)– Lincoln and Omaha ALR Chapters run to raise funds for the Legacy Scholarship on June 14,2008. The Lincoln Chapter asked us to do a joint effort run. Lincoln riders sign up time for the run will be 10:00 to 11:30 at Brandl Cycle in Lincoln. The Last Bike in at 15:30. The start point for the Omaha riders is Werner Cycle 10:00 -11:30 a.m. First stop is Gretna legion, last stop is the Ashland post it looks like a 120 mile ride. This was a nice ride last year and we are hoping to get more Omaha riders this way. We will need some people to man the card tables at the stops.

Omaha ALR Events(P) MICHAEL PETERSON -- MY REAL LIFE TOUR 2008 May 19-24, Lincoln, NE This will include the ALR riding escort for the tour bus and a possible concert event in Lincoln with all bikers welcome. This is shaping up to look like a great event. Thanks to our brothers and sisters in Lincoln working hard to make sure Michael is shown some good Nebraska hospitality.
Omaha ALR Events(P) Grand Island Veterans Home Bus Fund Run May 10th sign up Grand Island at 10:30, visit with the Veterans and ride a poker run.
Omaha ALR Events****(P) April 21st We have received a special request to provide a show of support by The Springfield Squadron 143 Sons of The American Legion at their April 21st meeting. Please plan to attend if possible. With our help they could secure a contribution toward the American Legacy Scholarship. |
