Sept 12, 2009,12pm - 1am, 8th Annual Hog Heaven. To be held at Post 364 Fort Dearborn American Legion, Dearborn, MI 3001 S. Telegraph Rd. "Joe Stumpo Memorial Poker Run " same day 1st bike out at 11am at Motor City HD,34900 Grand River, Farmington Hills, MI, poker run sponsered by Chapter 364 ALR. Bike Raffle included 2009 Sportster 1200 Custom. Live Band, Pig Roast.

St Helen post 416 will be host their annual pig roast on July 26th from 2:00 until 5:00. (or until we run out of food) There will be live entertainment this year plus lots of great riding up here. Cost is $6.00 per plate. There is camping space available on ALR property (no hook up). There is also two motels in town that are close to the post.

On Sunday September 7th the Charlotte ALR Post 42 is hosting a Poker style run, Auction, and Dinner. The run strats at the American Legion Post in Grand Ledge. The stops will all be Legion Posts. Holt, Leslie, Jackson, Battle Creek to Charlotte. $10.00 rider, $5.00 passanger, cars also welcome. The profits from the Run and Auction are going to the Legacy Schalorship fund for the Children of Killed in action Vet's after 911. Sign up in Grand Ledge 8-10 AM. Breakfest available. Ride ends at 4PM with cards drawn. $100 1st place $50.00 second. Trophies for oldest & furthest traveled. Come on down and support the kids.

I am looking for help locating veterans remains in Michigan and would like to have the help of the Legion Riders. I did speak to the Northville post this week and would like to speak to more if possible. We have to physically go to every funeral home in the state and locate these remains and get them buried with honor. Please contact me for more info

Charlotte Post 42 is hosting a lasagna dinner on Friday Oct. 30 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the legion hall
in Charlotte Mi. Cost is $7.00 per person, $6.00 for seniors. Bring your appetites because the portions will be big (and in case you didn't know- we have the worlds absolute best lasagna! Guinness book has been calling! )
